I am in search of a part-time faculty member to teach graphic design, computer-based 2D art and 3D modeling and animation. I hope to find a classically prepared artist who is interested in expanding their art to the computer, and teaching our students both the core of art principles and how those principles can be expressed via computer.
Because my college, Southwestern, is in Winfield, I hope to find someone who is either willing to drive back and forth from Wichita to Winfield (I do it daily from Derby), or who might be interested in living in Winfield part-time so as to ease the commute. The college might be able to help in such accomodations, and might also be able to provide studio space.
I do not know if you have a list of local artists that I might send a mailing to, or if you just have names that come to mind, but either would be helpful.
Sincerely,
Tom Jacobs
