Payment Registraton: • Register at CityArts in person, mail in the registration form with payment, fax in the registration form with VISA or MASTERCARD, phone in with Visa or MasterCard, or e-mail your registration form to cwaugh@wichita.gov. • Checks should be made out to CityArts. • Pre-registration is required the Thursday before class start date.
Registraton Confirmation: • Keep a record of the date and time of the class in which you are enrolled. • Notification will be given only if a class has been filled or cancelled. • Classes are on a first come first served basis. • CityArts will not hold registration without payment.
Refund Request will be granted strictly following City Policy: • Prior to the Second Class of the session = 80% refund. • Prior to the Third Class = 50% refund. • After the Third Class of the session = NO refund. • If a class is cancelled by CityArts, a FULL refund will be issued. • Please allow 4-6 weeks to receive a refund.
ADULT CLASSES
CityArts programming offers an extensive range of art classes and a variety of skill levels for adults in many mediums. All programming is geared towards making the arts accessible to everyone. There is a variety of day and evening classes, to stimulate your imagination and creativity. Adult classes are for ages 16 and up unless listed otherwise.
College Credits Ask your college & university Art Departments about earning credits by taking courses at CityArts. We have agreements with most area schools to offer college credits for classes at CityArts in the areas of Fiber Arts, Glassblowing, and Silversmithing. Talk first to your school, then call or come see us at CityArts.
ADULT FIBER
Crocheting - Beginning Learn basic crocheting stitches: chain, single, double, triple & mile-a-minute. Then select a stitch or two to create an item to wear or something for your house. Fiber Beads Learn how to use heat tools imaginatively and safely to create amazing surfaces for fiber beads. GROUP FIELD TRIPS TO CITYARTS
• Minimum group number of 6 – $6 per participant • 1 ½ hour experience (unless otherwise noted) • Reservations and payment must be made one week prior to the field trip. • Preschool – Art & Me – Friday o Preschool groups (3–5 yrs) with teachers or parents. Come and join us for creative and art-fun workshops. Each month will reflect a different theme & encompass simple art materials and tools. Kids will explore their imagination, creative, communication skills and enjoy some time in creative play. • High School & College Class Groups – Monday, Wednesday, Friday • Senior Citizen Groups – Monday, Wednesday o Observe CityArts glass art instructors demonstrating our glass blowing studio. o Do a small hands-on stained glass project. o Take walking tour of CityArts (elevator available). o Enjoy a Gallery talk on our current gallery exhibit.
BIRTHDAY PARTIES
• Limit 10-15 children – $6 per participant. (2 adults must be in attendance.) • Parties must be scheduled and paid for 2 weeks in advance. • Room & Material fee. Set up time ½ hour before event for decorations, refreshment, etc. • Parents are responsible for all clean up.
ART CLUB PROGRAMMING
Art Club I • Elementary (grades K-5th) Mondays 4-5:30PM • This after school program is for elementary age students to come for creative time together. CityArts staff/artists share their enthusiasm and expertise with kids. • $2.00 per child & must call for reservation.
Art Club II • Middle School (grades 6th-8th) Wednesdays 3:30-5PM • Only available to school groups of 10 or more. • $2.00 per child & must call for reservation.
