Senior Wednesdays

Offered in cooperation with nine other cultural institutions in Wichita, Senior Wednesdays are designed for active seniors and made possible by the Kansas Health Foundation, a private philanthropic organization dedicated to improving the health of all Kansans. There is no Senior Wednesday program at the Wichita Public Library in November or December. (60 minutes)

Senior Wednesdays: Getting the Community to Talk
Jay Price, the director of the Public History Program at Wichita State University, talks about the promises and pitfalls of oral interviews and their relationship to local history. Offered in cooperation with nine other cultural institutions in Wichita, Senior Wednesdays are designed for active seniors and made possible by the Kansas Health Foundation, a private philanthropic organization dedicated to improving the health of all Kansans.  Senior Wednesday: See the USA the Railroad Way  From Glacier to Joshua Tree, from DC to LA, enjoy the sights and stories of a whirlwind Amtrak trip: over 8,000 miles in just 11 days. Tips for train travelers will also be given.

Hands-on Help

Our computer experts lead free form sessions where you can bring your computing questions. Seats are limited to ten. Registration not required. Bring your specific question or project. Meets in the Technology Training Center on the first floor of the Central Library. (90 minutes)
