The Arts Council has established an award for individual artists or groups of artists to help finance art projects; the award provides a maximum amount of $1,000.

To be considered for the award the applicant(s) must reside in Sedgwick County and must not have 501c3 status. Completed applications must be submitted by July 1, 2008.

The Arts Council is designated by the City of Wichita and serves as the focal point for coordinating and promoting the visibility of all cultural arts in the community. Their mission is to advance and promote arts and culture in the Wichita community through advocacy, leadership, education and collaboration.
