Artist's Statement:
“My work is a testament of time, my interpretation of the vessel as a symbol of self-containment. Over time, as the vessel is passed down from generation to generation, its surface is altered by the wear and tear of time. The vessel itself becomes a reflection of how we too, are altered and shaped by events over time leaving its impression on us, leaving its mark either physically or mentally. By giving the vessel s a memory of their own and bringing awareness of the loss of its previous existence, I hope to make the viewer consider the previous experience of the vessel.”
