In 2009, the Arts Council established a financial award for individual artists or groups of artists to help finance art projects. The Arts Council is now accepting applications for the next funding cycle.
The award provides a maximum amount of $1,000. To be considered for the award the applicant(s) must reside in Sedgwick County and must not have 501c3 status. Applications and further details are available at www.WichitaArts.com under Grants & Services. Completed applications must be submitted and reviewed by June 1st and December 1st annually.
The Arts Council is designated by the City of Wichita and serves as the focal point for coordinating and promoting the visibility of all cultural arts in the community. Their mission is to advance and promote arts and culture in the Wichita community through advocacy, leadership, education and collaboration.
